Green tea cake

It doesn't look much, but that is a green tea cake, invented by me. It actually tastes like green tea and is very buttery.

I'm almost as shocked as if I'd written a song or run a 6-minute mile. I'll post the recipe, but must bake it again and make sure I'm not hallucinating its loveliness.

  1. It was okay. It was good on the first couple bites. but after a while it made me feel kind of sick. But i guess for someone who is obsessed with tea, its not so bad.

  3. How did you make up the recipe?

  4. I used Michael Ruhlman's RATIO and fiddled around with the sponge cake formula. I have never "invented" a cake before. It's one of the really fun things about his book -- it enables you to play mad scientist.
