How to Cook Everything Vegetarian: Granola

Lovely, fragrant crunchy granola from How To Cook Everything Vegetarian. Sadly, my children do not love it.

Sadly, I do.

  1. Yum. This looks great. Do you know if it's the same recipe as in the How to Cook Everything updated version?

  2. I will check. . . yes, identical!
But he does offer some variations in the new book which we tried. Specifically, we added quite a bit of vanilla.

  4. Isn't "crunch" enough? You must be going to a California public school, my friend.
And what ever happened to apostrophes?

  5. Since granola can have infinite variations, have the kids make changes and additions according to their preferences. A few more raisins? Some ground nuts? A touch of almond extract? A bit more oil to make it crunchier? You can make one big basic batch and then divide it to try variations... And celebrate with a taste test and award for the best! It might engage the delightful little angels.
