A bit more oil to make it crunchier? You can make one big basic batch and then divide it to try variations... And celebrate with a taste test and award for the best! It might engage the delightful little angels.
Lovely, fragrant crunchy granola from How To Cook Everything Vegetarian. Sadly, my children do not love it.
