Is this hoarding?

I cleaned out the kitchen drawers today. Forty-one measuring spoons.

And I can't bear to part with any of them.

  1. I think it's hoarding only if you have 41,000 measuring spoons and your children have to walk through tunnels of them to get to the bathroom. You're fine...for now.

  2. I agree with Anonymous, but the cookbooks might be a concern.

  3. Not hoarding. I have several shapes--some fit in spice bottles, some are easier for small hands to hold, others are in the dishwasher...And I think I need more. That's a problem.

  4. Nah, it's only hoarding if you never use them. So just make a point to rotate them, and you'll be just fine. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

  5. if your drawers didn't have mouse poop in them, and you have <4 cats in your house it's not hoarding.

  6. You are taking life's measure-you need them all.

  7. haha I love it. Keep them all! Or a couple as gifts to people you really love and would understand the significance.

  8. No, certainly not hoarding. (For me it's whisks.)

  9. For me it's spatulas. They all have different shapes and strengths! I couldn't imagine why I'd want to pare it down to one or two.

  10. it's not hoarding...but if one or two of them are irritatingly awkward/inefficient/bent for whatever reason, it means you can throw them..freedom!
